Can I foster if I am single?

Yes – you can foster as a single person. It is a myth that you cannot become a foster carer as a single person. You do not have to be in a relationship to foster.

The main requirement is that you have a spare room and can provide the time, space, love and support to a child or young person. Have a look at our fostering requirements here.
